Vision coverage is the fastest growing group benefit. Do you wear glasses or contacts? Do your employees? Then you should have a vision plan. Supplemental, stand-alone vision plans are one of the best ways to improve your benefits package at minimal cost, as low as $6.00 a month.

  • Did You Know: while medically necessary eye exams are included with most group medical coverage, prescriptive exams, lenses, contacts, and frames are not typically covered.

Full service vision plans, such as those offered by Vision Service Plan, Spectera, and others, provide extensive coverage of these vision benefits with low or no deductible and attractive pricing. These plans can include options that allow you to tailor the plan to your employee's needs, and include options such as an upgrade benefit for employees or firms that are using computers extensively. Usually only available for groups of ten or more, we have a special arrangement that allows us to enroll employer groups with just three employees!

  • Vision Service Plan has three different plan arrangements, all of which include exam, lenses, contacts in lieu of frames and lenses, and a wide assortment of approved frames. In contrast to discount plans, you pay only a small copay once each plan year, rather than just pay a discounted fee or price for all services. Spectera, Avesis, and AIG are excellent vision care providers that may have advantages to you in plan design, providers, or benefits.   • BetaHealth Association also offers the Alpha Vision Plan, one of the easiest and most comprehensive local discount plans available, using a private, local network of providers and dispensing opticians.
  • Most group medical carriers now offer vision plans and some provide discounts with bundled services. These plans compete very effectively with stand-alone vision plans.
