viehdorfer & associates BENEFITS 101: administering your plan
Search item2 item1

Administering your plan can be difficult - tracking employee contributions, making plan or employee changes, providing for required notices, updates, and other information can be time consuming. Add in the complexity of the plans themselves and most employers complain that they spend too much time as "insurance experts". Factor into the mix the arcane and troublesome requirements of the HIPAA privacy rules or COBRA requirements, and most owners want to give up. You no longer need to be the "expert" - we are. Consider these issues:

  • that an initial notice of COBRA rights is required for all employees, including employees signing up later, or employees who have waived off for reasons of other coverage?
  • that new employees have a limited period of time that they are allowed to sign up for coverage under your plan?
  • of the preexisting conditions stipulations that an employee may be faced with?

We believe that service and follow-up does not end with selling a plan. Our work begins after you have made your plan selection:

  • We will enroll, follow-up, and provide assistance to your employees via phone, fax, email, and web 24/7.
  • We meet with your employees on either a monthly, quarterly, or as-needed basis to answer questions and assist with problems.
  • We provide COBRA or state continuation notification for all required coverage's, as well as assist you with billing and subscriber issues.
  • During renewal, we provide accurate, detailed information on your renewal plan, as well as other plans that may be more competitive, and will meet with your employees to educate them on plan changes and other benefit issues.
  • Your employees will have a professional, knowledgeable source of information and advocacy on their side, assisting them with questions, referrals, plan changes, dependent issues, claims problems, billing issues, and other difficulties that arise with a plan.

You no longer need to be an expert administrator or insurance guru - we are your in-house expert. Contact us with any questions, problems, or concerns. [Return to Insurance 101]
